Who can join?
We can qualify you for Membership in one of the following ways:
- You are an active or retired member of the Armed Forces or a dependent or dependent survivor of a member of the Armed Forces.
You are a civilian employee of Marine Corps Air Station, Cherry Point, North Carolina. - You work in one of the following counties: Beaufort, Carteret, Craven, Greene, Hyde, Jones, Lenoir, Pamlico, Pitt
- You live in one of the following 2 communities: Havelock, New Bern
- Your employer or organization has a corporate relationship with First Flight. Hundreds of employers have an affiliation with First Flight to offer Membership as an employee benefit.
You may also join one of the community organizations we are affiliated with for First Flight Membership. You can easily join one of these associations when you open your account online or at one of our financial center locations.

How to join
Open your membership account for only $25, signifying your ownership in First Flight Credit Union
To open your account, you'll need the following:
- Government-issued ID: Driver’s License, State ID, or Passport with current address. (If your current address is not listed, provide two forms of proof of current address such as a utility bill, account statement, or lease agreement that include current name and address.)
- Social Security Number
- Date of Birth
