Chartered in 1952, First Flight Federal Credit Union was originally founded to serve the employees and families of the military at Cherry Point base in North Carolina. As the years evolved, so has First Flight’s reach.

Today, with over $265 million in assets, First Flight is headquartered in Cary, North Carolina, and proudly serves over 20,000 members across a Wake County and Eastern North Carolina footprint. The Triangle Business Journal recently highlighted the credit union as one of the fastest growing in the triangle.

First Flight continues to build upon its legacy of impact by growing its reach as it sponsored over 25 events in the community last year, including educational programs at community colleges, the Food Pantry of Eastern and Central North Carolina, Habitat for Humanity and a spotlight on Veteran’s through First Flight’s Caring for the Carolinas partnership with charitable causes. First Flight is sponsoring additional financial literacy programs across its branch footprint, where volunteers from their staff will share their knowledge with local students.
